Important News about Inman’s 2010-2011 “Transition In” Program
“Dr. Bockman & Ms. Blevins Winter Elementary School Visit to Mary Lin Elementary School,” February 7th (Tuesday), 8:30 am - 9:30 am
The “Transition In” events for rising Inman 6th grade families continue in February 2011 with “Dr. Bockman’s & Ms. Blevins’ Winter Elementary School Visits.” Dr. Bockman, Inman’s principal, and Ms. Blevins, Inman’s 6th grade counselor, will visit Mary Lin to meet and answer questions from your rising 6th grade parents/guardians in an open-formatted, casual setting. We invite your 5th grade parents/guardians to make plans to join them.
Inman’s last “Transition In” event for parents/guardians will be “A Comprehensive Overview of Inman and its Curriculum” scheduled for March 15, 2011 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at Inman Middle School. This event is particularly important to many first-time Inman Middle School parents/guardians. During this evening, parents/guardians will track an abbreviated 6th grade schedule of classes held in Inman’s 6th grade classrooms. To ensure that parents/guardians get a feel for 6th grade curriculum, the sessions are of course taught by this year’s Inman 6th grade faculty. So, if it has been years since you’ve been to middle school, this event will get you back in the door before your rising 6th grader starts middle school next year, so mark this on your calendar!
If you have questions about Inman Transition In, please feel free to contact Inman’s 6th Grade Counselor, Ms. Tina Blevins, at tblevins2@atlanta.k12.ga.us or 404.802.3215. Inman looks forward to meeting its future Incoming Eagle families!
