The PTA spring Grants process is underway. We hope to able to fund all grant applications received. Below are the five worthy grant applications received this spring.

Grant Applications

 

1)     Mary Lin Grounds: Natural Wildlife Official Certification

 

Request: $195.26

 

Register grounds of Lin campus officially with the Atlanta Audubon Society (AAS) and the National Wildlife Federation (NWF).Students of Challenge Program will meet with an Audubon Presenter/Volunteer and an Atlanta Herpetology Club Presenter/volunteer, and will be guided in cataloging Lin’s essential elements for certification purposes. Permanent signs will be placed on Lin’s grounds.

 

2)     One Promethean Board for Third Grade Classroom

 

Request: $3500

 

Purchase would complete the rollout for Promethean Boards in all 4 3^rd grade classrooms. Ensure all third grade students are on an even learning field.

 

3)     New Band Instruments

 

Request: $6600

 

Buy additional instruments for 4^th and 5^th grade band

3 Saxophones at $600 each

4 Flutes at $300 each

 

4)     Path Painting Project

 

Request: $500

 

Repaint pathway that exists between street and Lin front entrance. Keep students safe.

 

5)     Springdale Park Elementary Seed Money

 

Request: $500

 

Seed money to help Springdale PTA/PTO get started. Allow rezoned parents to Springdale Park to get organized, form committees, and raise money for their new school.
