2007-08 OFFICERS & 2008-09 ELECT
PTA officers are elected in the spring and their term runs from last day of school to last day of school for one year. "Elect" positions are the following year's officers or those who are considering the position. This allows future officers to shadow current ones and learn all aspects and tasks required.

OFFICER DUTIES
BUILDING & GROUNDS
Beautify the school grounds and develop special projects like the Community Garden.
COMMUNICATIONS
From the website to newsletters to bulletin boards to emails, this office is responsible for getting the word out.
EDUCATION
Reading programs, Math Superstars, Career Day and other assemblies fall under the Education banner.
FUNDRAISING
Raising money through wrapping paper sales, auction and other creative events.
HEALTH & SAFETY
Promote fitness, nutrition and activity as building blocks for a strong future. Also, develop positive lunchroom rules and expectations.
LEGISLATION & ADVOCACY
Represent Mary Lin to the Georgia PTA, attend PTA Day at the Capitol and learn how legislation impacts children's education.
PR & COMMUNITY OUTREACH
Keeping the "good word" out there about Mary Lin and helping build supportive relations in the community.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Linapalooza, Fun Feasts, Science Night and Teacher Appreciation luncheons are just some of the amazing things that make Mary Lin great.
