Registration

ALL RETURNING STUDENTS MUST RE-REGISTER!
Details for 2009-10 registration and re-registration are available below. Please also review this RE-REGISTRATION LETTER from our Principal, Dr. Mitchell.

Mary Lin requires a student to live within the district (School District Map) and provide certain personal documentation. The "in- district" requirement is crucial to prevent overcrowding of schools, and to plan for system growth.
  1. As per the Atlanta Public Schools, proof of residency documents MUST be in the name of the parent or legal guardian of the student.
  2. Everyone is required to fill out and HAVE NOTARIZED the Proof of Residency Form.
Otherwise, Click on the CHECK LIST for your child's situation. Checklists for 2009-10 are coming soon.
**If your child will need ANY MEDICATION/MEDICAL PROCEDURE WHILE AT SCHOOL (inhaler, insulin, ibuprofen, etc.), you need to fill out this APS MEDICAL FORM and have it on file at the school. Otherwise, your child will not be administered ANY MEDICATION or PROCEDURE during school hours.

Re-Registration for returning Mary Lin students is held in the spring and new student registration begins soon after. Call the school for exact times and dates.

Compulsory Attendance Clarification

APS Compulsory Student Attendance Form

The following is a clarification concerning the Statement of Notification and Receipt of the summary of Georgia's Compulsory Attendance Law, Procedures, Consequences and Penalties form that was sent home as part of the registration packet:
  1. The purpose of including this letter with our registration packet is to ensure that our school is in compliance with Georgia State Law, Georgia Code 20-2-690.1. This law states that each parent and student shall receive a summary of possible consequences and penalties for failing to comply with the Compulsory School Attendance Law.
  2. As stated on the document, the placement of your signature on the document merely acknowledges that you have received this written summary.

A copy of the Compulsory School Attendance Law is available for review online at http://www.legis.state.ga.us/legis/2005_06/fulltext/sb413.htm or
