Local School Council
The Mary Lin Local School Council (LSC) meets once a month - except for December and July. The council is comprised of seven members: the Principal, 2 teacher representatives, 2 parent representatives, and 2 business representatives. Elections are held at the September PTA meeting. The purpose of the School Council is to work as a liaison between Mary Lin, teachers, administrators and the school board. Their focus is to help guide the programs and practices that make for a successful school environment. As Mary Lin's administrators and teachers focus on the day-to-day education of students, the School Council supports the necessary "planning for the future" and helps the school board understand the Mary Lin perspective on issues.
