Volunteers help around Mary Lin every day - some on PTA programs and some within the school. Most are listed HERE.

PTA
Mission

  1. To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the schools, in the community, and before governmental bodies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children.

  2. To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children.

  3. To encourage parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

What Does the PTA Do besides work on Education Legislation?

  • Teacher Allotments ($150-250 per teacher)
  • Visiting Artists (In-School field trips)
  • Science Night (brings science to life)
  • Family Fun Feast (family dinners at school)
  • Staff Appreciation
  • Math Superstars (club for future mathletes)
  • Halloween Carnival
  • Chess Club (teaching lifetime fun & strategy)
  • Artist Market
  • Olympic Day (ML field day and then some)
  • Grounds Workdays
  • Operation Care Basket (helping families)
  • Kindergarten Tours/Roundup
  • Principal Coffees (ask Dr. Mitchell anything)

PTA MEMBERSHIP
Anyone can join the PTA - families, grandparents, neighbors. PTA supports our great school.
Great schools = great communities.
Annual fee is $5 per person when paid in cash or check - $5.50 online due PayPal fees.
